Barbering Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Three years of experience as a Barber
3. Licensed by DOPL in Barbering or Cosmetology/Barbering
4. Licensed by DOPL as a Barber Instructor or Cosmetology/Barbering Instructor
5. Able to perform the bookkeeping at the end of the day and prepare the accounting records and accurately prepare the daily deposit

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
2. Experience in career and technical education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

1. Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
2. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision

Custodian Part-Time

Hours:Ìý one Morning Shift and one Evening Shift available (Monday – Friday from 6:00 – 11:00)

Pay Range:Ìýstarting at $17.00 per hour depending on experience

The opportunity:

Working as an integral part of our Facilities team, you will be responsible for the proper care and cleaning of the College.

What you’ll do:

  • Clean and disinfect the College inside and out by performing custodial functions
  • Help ensure that all Campus property including facility, equipment, systems, and grounds are kept safe and secure for students, staff and visitors
  • Monitor the facility by conducting routine inspections; ensure proper opening and closing functions; respond to alarms and code calls, and may provide first aid as necessary
  • Help assist in the coordination, set-up, and tear-down of furniture to accommodate institutional training events

What we’re looking for:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with varied maintenance operations/procedures, trade practices, custodial service techniques, and equipment operation
  • Requires frequent physical exertion including lifting up to 75 lbs., bending, reaching, kneeling, and walking
  • Working with cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
  • Operating mechanical operating tools and equipment
  • Ability to work with little supervision; be organized and able to track a variety of assignments simultaneously

Diesel Technology Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Three year’s Heavy-Duty Diesel (HDD) maintenance experience and/or certificate in Heavy Duty Diesel technician

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
2. ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, professional and organizational skills
2. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
3. Ability to operate and teach the proper operation of current HDD maintenance tools and machinery

EMT/AEMT Adjunct Instructor

Pay Range: $29.00 per hour

Hours: The hours will vary and will be determined with the Course Coordinator. Class hours August-May are Monday-Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Monday-Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Class hours May-August are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Opportunity:
The adjunct instructor will be responsible for assisting in teaching and training students in both the
practical and theoretical aspects of advanced emergency medical services, including patient assessment,
treatment procedures, and medical protocols. They will assist with delivering lectures and covering gaps
in the instructional calendar. The main duty of the adjunct instructor will be to oversee hands-on skills
training and evaluate student performance to ensure competency and readiness for exams, including the National Certification exam, NREMT. Additionally, they ensure compliance with educational standards, contribute to curriculum development, and mentor students throughout their training.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with instruction and training within applicable program in accordance with curriculum and
    standards for subject matter being taught as assigned by the lead instructor or program director
  • Teach effectively using a competency-based curriculum
  • Evaluate the knowledge and competency of students and provide accurate reports under the
    supervision of the lead instructor and program director
  • Maintain a productive and safe learning environment consistent with ÌÇÐÄVlog
    policy
  • Promote job readiness, encourage professionalism and good work habits, and assist with helping
    students find work-based learning opportunities, related employment, and/or continued education

What we’re looking for:

  • Competent in given area of expertise being taught
  • For EMT program, current EMT, AEMT, or Medic license and certification with the State of Utah,
    and current endorsement as an EMS instructor
  • For AEMT program, current AEMT or Medic license and certification with the State of Utah, and
    current endorsement as an EMS instructor
  • Two year’s industry experience in area of expertise
  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Degree in related field preferred
  • Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution preferred

Network and Facility Systems Technician

Salary Range: $58,000-$65,000

The opportunity:

The Network and Facility Systems Technician works under the direction of the Director of Information Technology and is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, stable, secure, and sustainable operation of the institution’s infrastructure systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of interconnected campus systems, including network, mechanical, electrical, safety, security, and control systems.
  • Regularly evaluate and adjust critical systems, such as HVAC, lighting, security, and automation, to ensure efficient operation and optimal indoor environmental quality.
  • Work closely with faculty, staff, students, and administration to understand institutional needs and translate them into system requirements and capabilities.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external contractors or vendors.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to software programming, hardware, mechanical, electrical, and network communication systems.
  • Provide high-level support for system outages and interruptions, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures to avoid future disruptions.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, hardware, and software solutions to improve performance, enhance efficiency, and align with strategic goals.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure solutions to meet current and future campus needs.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure systems for sustainability and operational excellence.
  • Lead or participate in technical projects from inception through completion, including developing project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors, engineering consultants, service providers, and equipment vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Ensure all systems and processes comply with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ASHRAE, NEC, CIS).
  • Promote a culture of safety across campus facilities and ensure adherence to internal safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Solicit bids for services, select appropriate vendors, and oversee the work of consultants, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ensure all contracted work meets quality standards and is delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of infrastructure systems, including maintenance logs, facility modifications, warranties, submittals, and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, and recommendations for maintenance, planning, and infrastructure management.
  • Respond to system alarms and emergencies on a 24/7 basis, ensuring rapid resolution of critical issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities staff to support and resolve infrastructure-related emergencies.
  • Assist with various College IT projects that intersect with infrastructure systems, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and network components.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and changes in relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Continuously build expertise in areas such as energy management, network, automation, and system security.

ÌýWhat we’re looking for:

  • Certificate in IT, or a related field, and two years of related work experience, or
  • Associate’s Degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience providing Facilities Systems Engineering
  • Experience in Network Systems Engineering
  • Ability to work with individuals with varying levels of technical proficiency and to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Must possess good organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve complex problems and provide long-term, sustainable solutions
  • Sound understanding of computer, electrical, mechanical, and control systems
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining building facilities and IT systems
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relations with contractors, consultants, employees, and students
  • Ability to continually explore emerging technologies and make infrastructure changes that match up with business needs and available resources

Nail Technician Substitute Instructor

3. Current DOPL Nail Technician Instructor License and Nail Technician License

1. Two years of experience as a Nail Technician
